About Me

I am a freelance writer/editor/blogger. Here at Garanimals, I blog about how families discover, imagine, learn from, learn about, and interact with pets and other animals. I am a reluctant pet-store owner, with my husband Kenn, who runs the store while I take the credit. Along the way, I have learned about every kind of pet, from anoles to zebra finches. I am a mama of four, including former-24-week preemie twins Isaac and Molly who are now 19, and teen boys Noah (14) and Seth (13), as well as a stepmom to Ian (a computer genius at Microsoft) and Becky (a keeper at Zoo Atlanta with a master’s in Primate Conservation).
