My Favorite Apps for 2012

Happy New Year friends! Time to roll out the best of lists for the year behind us. 2012 sure did bring a lot of new technology our way. Some of the tools that we now have at our fingertips are incredibly fun, productive, addictive and useful.

Here’s a few of my favorites.

Evernote – if you read my top ten post from last year, this was my favorite all around useful app. I hate to be boring, but after using this for another year, it’s still my go-to app for collecting my shopping lists, recipes, favorite things and to-do’s. I love that it’s multi-platform so I can add things from my phone, computer or iPad and they all sync. Genius.

LostPhotos – in the lifelong quest to get organized, collecting all of my photos in one place is one of the more challenging tasks. This app helped me collect several hundred photos from the black hole of my email inbox. This saved me so much time.

Foodspotting – don’t you just love looking at fabulous food?  This app helps you pick a restaurant by what looks good rather than sounds good. It’s fun to add your own favorites and a great way to let others know when you’ve found a good one.  Just last night I tried a great new sushi roll based on a photo that did so much more justice than the description. Yum!

Pinterest – how can you not love getting lost in ideas and inspiration? Pinterest offers an amazing array of eye candy for anything from recipes to crafts to organization to fashion. Once you’ve started it’s hard to stop.

DailyArt – this app is simply for viewing beautiful works of art. Every day I get one new masterpiece on my phone with a description of the piece and the artist. It doesn’t do anything more than that, but for me, a daily dose of beauty is enough.

Wishing you a peaceful and healthy 2013.
