It’s always nice to receive snail mail, especially in this age of technology when email and social media are preferred to the more traditional means. Holiday cards are a nice way of reminding people you’re thinking of them…but what do you DO with all of them?? There’s only so much table space available in a home! Here are a few creative ways to display your holiday cards:
This is a great way to display your cards on a wall with open space. Grab a few and create a wreath, Christmas tree, Hannukah Star, you name it! The cards instantly become beautiful holiday décor!
Collect some thing twigs and branches from the ground outside and create a card tree centerpiece! Use your imagination…you can spray paint them white or silver and add holiday baubles like craft ornaments, berries, bows, etc. Attach ribbons to each card and hang them like ornaments. It makes a beautiful display for a hall kitchen table!
The easiest way to display your many cards is to create a book. Simply punch a hole in the same corner of each card and put a ribbon or metal ring through it. You can dress it up as much as you like by adding a nice cover and back cover, sparkles, embellishments, etc.
If you’re a scrapbooker, holiday cards make the perfect materials for a holiday scrapbook! Include pictures of your family, friends, etc. and use the pretty graphics and paper as accents.
