A couple of weeks ago I had the kids participate in a “Holiday Quickie” photo shoot. For a small fee and 15 minutes, a photographer snapped photos of the boys for me to use for holiday cards. There were a bunch of cute ones… and then I found this one. It so captures my boys personality. Ian, so serious and Connor, the ham. Now I just need to find the perfect card to highlight it.
Do you find yourself doing that? Looking everywhere to find the perfect card to send out to family and friends. One that highlights the years events or shows off the family. Pinterest has made this even more stressful. ALL the good ideas……
Before you even start looking think about what you want the card to have……
- Photo of some sort (this may dictate the theme)
- Highlight information about the family and its happenings
- Religious, winter, or general holiday theme
These things will help to narrow down what kind of cards you are looking for. Try to capture your family’s personality in the card. I could have picked one of the perfectly posed pictures of my boys, but I knew this picture would truly bring a smile to everyone’s face when they opened it. Cards are to share holiday joy – pick one that will do just that!
What are you doing for your Cards this year?
