How to Dress Kids Alike for a Family Photo, But Different (wink, wink)

My sons are getting older… and you know what that means, right?

Ever since we’ve had more than one child, I’ve dressed the boys exactly alike for the “infamous” holiday photo.

In 2005, I dressed William and Alexander in red sleepies…

In 2006, I dressed William and Alexander in matching snowman pajamas…

In 2007, we had Benjamin – I matched them all in green sleepies…

In 2008 (I have a photo!), we had Henry – I matched them all in red shirts (even Daddy!)…

In 2009, I matched them all in blue buttons downs…

In 2010, we had a little problem… NOBODY WANTED TO DRESS ALIKE!

I mean, really… NOBODY.

So I did the next best thing, I bought the same “kind” of sweater, but in 4 different colors.

Easy.

And this year? Well… guess what? Same thing happened. The boys didn’t want to dress alike in matching sweaters (wipe my tears…), so I let them all pick out a striped sweater. Not surprising, nobody picked the same one. I have to say, it makes me happy… and they’re happy, too. Easy way to make the Holiday photo look good!

Good luck everyone!
